- Encourage every child to develop a love for learning and achieve their individual academic potential,
- Encourage every child in their pursuit of wisdom – developing integrity, virtue, character, intellect, and maturity – not only in accomplishing the homework/prep each week, but in overall trajectory,
- Provide an atmosphere of love and trust where these objectives can be met, and
- Experience the joy of living in an authentic, joy-filled community.
What will my involvement be as a parent?
Every mom and dad’s participation is crucial for the healthy functioning of our community. We are a community of like-minded families, a fellowship in which each member’s contribution is important and valued. Whether it is by teaching a class, helping with the younger children, hosting co-op gatherings, or planning and facilitating events, we encourage every parent to find his or her particular area of service.
When you commit to Co-op, you commit for an entire school year, unless circumstances arise beyond your control. Thus, it is expected that you will guard your schedule, especially on co-op days, and make your commitment to our co-op day a priority. In addition to actual co-op days, moms are also expected to participate in monthly Parent’s Meetings. Our goal for these important community gatherings is to re-focus ourselves around prayer and fellowship as we discuss the details of co-op planning and logistics.
We expect Lower School parents to stay on campus all day, but our Upper School parents have the opportunity to drop-off their children. Regardless, at least one parent must fulfill their assigned Service Opportunities. Similarly, we are excited to welcome full-time working parents, and we encourage them to take an active role in their child’s discipleship at home and at co-op when opportunities arise. We depend upon everyone’s participation in community activities which occur outside of Co-op (field trips, programs, fellowship, etc.).
